Choosing Cool Modest Fashion Items For Summer
Just because you’re into modest fashion, doesn’t meant that you have to be hot, sweaty and uncomfortable all summer. The key to staying cool and classy this summer is all in the fabrics you choose. Sure, a long sleeve shirt is going to be a lot warmer than a tank top, but a crucial element in how comfortable you are in a garment is what type of fabric it’s made from. Here are a few tips to help you choose the most comfortable modest fashion items.
1) Tops: When choosing tops to wear this summer, generally it’s a good idea to stick to moisture wicking fabrics. A cotton/spandex or lycra blend is ideal because they are generally thinner than a 100% cotton blend and can wick away moisture to keep you cool and dry. If you’re going to layer, go with thin gauzey fabrics.
2) Dresses. Those flowly floor length sun dresses look great and are great to wear in summer. A thin polyester fabric is perfect for summer. You can pick these dresses out in a lineup because they look gorgeous in breezy weather.
3) Skirts. Long jean skirts can be a little hot during these summer months, so stick to those knee-length styles.
