Easy Modesty Tips
While some ladies observe religious rules that require modest fashion, it is important to recognize that modesty can be a fashion choice as well. While the phrase “skin is in” may be a popular one currently, the fact remains that donning modest women’s clothing is a personal choice about how a lady views herself and chooses to portray herself.
There are no set “fashion rules” to modesty, as every ladies body type is different, as is every ladies interpretation of “modest.” However, here are some basic ways to make sure your outfit is up to your own, personal, modesty standards:
Check the Neckline. Is the neckline to your shirt hanging too low? A good measurement is seeing if your palm fits between the top of the bra and the top of the neckline. Additionally, use a mirror to investigate how much cleavage you reveal when you lean over.
How tight is your shirt? Lower temperatures can affect your body in different ways, and there’s plenty of ways to avoid losing your modesty because of the weather. Try wearing layers, like a tank top, or a padded bra. Additionally, check your bra straps regularly to make sure they’re not showing.
Try out Typical Body Positions: It’s one thing to look exhibit modest fashion standing straight up in front of a mirror. It’s another thing entirely to look modest during some of the regular positions you’ll have to take part in during a typical day. Does your underwear stick out when you lean over? Does your belly show if you lift your hands above your head? How far up my skirt or shorts can someone see when I’m sitting down? These are just a few examples of seemingly harmless positions that could compromise your efforts to appear modest in womens trendy clothing.
